Samuel Nuamah Donkor, a former Ashanti Regional Minister in Jerry John Rawlings' government, has died.

He passed away at the age of 64.

Although the exact cause of death is unknown, Mr. Nuamah is claimed to have died in London while undergoing medical treatment. The NDC veteran was also the Minister of Health and a member of Ghana's first parliament, representing the New Juaben North Constituency in the fourth republic. He was born on September 5, 1958, in the Eastern Region of Ghana at Asokore-Koforidua. Already, heartfelt tributes to the stateman have begun to stream in on social media, with many expressing their sympathies to his family and the NDC party.
