The 2022 SRC general elections have been served with a suit for a preliminary injunction.
Some candidates involved in the entire election process took the SRC to the Winneba High Court to halt the polls for this year.
The applicants in the lawsuit are,
1. Emmanuel Annobil
2. Amos Effum
Vs
1. First is Eugene Larye Odai
2. The Student Affairs Dean
3. Winneba University of Education

It is possible that there may be no election this year until the court resolves on the substantive issue. The aforementioned injunction was served on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. The application requires the defendants to appear within eight days or they will be entered for.
"YOU ARE THEREFORE COMMANDED to cause an appearance to be entered for you within EIGHT DAYS from service of this writ on you, inclusive of the day of service."
This was confirmed by the plaintiffs' attorney.
