A young Ghanaian lecturer who put everything on the line to try his luck at sports betting unwittingly brought his own downfall and unnecessary troubles.
The CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme, Mr. Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, published the humorous yet painful anecdote on his Facebook profile. This young instructor asked for a Ghc 40,000 loan, intending to use some of the money to pay for his mother's medical expenses and keep the rest for himself. One of his colleagues, a well-known sports betting fan, convinced him to try his luck with some of the loan money once he was successful in getting the loan. He was convinced by this guy after hearing how some daring individuals won big by going all-in and taking no chances. He thought he would also make easy money and put half of the Ghc 40,000 loan down to wager on Aviator, but he got "burned."
He made the decision to use the last 20,000 Ghc to attack again, but he was violently slapped in the face and balls. The young man reportedly spent Ghc 40,000 in less than a minute. He is responsible for paying the funeral expenses for his mother as well, who was counting on him to settle her debts.
Copied: A gambler's experience.
"This teacher so applied for a Gh40,000 bank loan. He intended to use a portion of the loan to pay for his mother's medical costs because she wasn't feeling well. A friend of his suggested aviator to him so he could add the Gh5000 to his 40,000 loan and make it in a matter of seconds. He was awestruck. He therefore desired a major win right now. He made a 20,000 initial deposit in order to quickly withdraw his money and make a significant profit. Alas, everything just collapsed in a single second, wheewww sshhh. He was panting, my boy. So he made the decision to get his cash back. He was under a lot of strain.
One drawback to betting is that you lose your ability to think clearly after a loss. You only have thoughts about the money you lost and your will to get it back. Ladies and gentlemen, this person lost the final 20,000 Gh in less than a minute. He quickly put the Gh40,000 loan into the trash. before he realized who he was. The money is lost for all time. Sadly, his mother passed away. Hmmm. He also bears the cost of his own funeral. Charlie, let's brighten up our eyes.
