The Golden Star Wassa Mine's Benso, Western Region, properties were vandalized last week, and 33 people were arrested for it.The illegal miners are said to have set fire to 12 vehicles, including pick-up trucks, ambulances, and excavators, causing the company's employees to flee for their lives.Gerard Hillary Osei Boakye, the company's Head of Group Corporate Affairs, previously described the assault to Citi News.
