Kofi Annan, a farmer in his 40s, took his own life on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, in Esaman, a suburb of Elmina in the Central Region.It is said that the deceased person hanged himself in his room with a rope when he woke up at dawn.In an interview with Kasapa News, Yaw Boagyan said that the deceased, who had previously stated that he would one day kill himself, appeared to be in good health when they observed him going to church on Thursday, April 6, 2023, and that he did not appear to be experiencing any difficulties.
“His passing comes as a shock to us because we saw him Thursday evening with the children and even earlier in the morning going about his regular farming.A neighbor stated, "We heard a noise from his house around 2:00 a.m. on Good Friday morning, after he returned from Church. When we got there, we found him hanging on a rope in his bedroom."PThe body was taken to the morgue by officers from the Komenda Edina Eguafo District Police Command after they arrived at the scene.
