It is possible that police inspector Ahmed Twumasi suffers from mental health issues because he shot and killed Maadwoa, his girlfriend, multiple times.Emmanuel Mawanye Kotin, Executive Director of the African Center for Security and Counterterrorism, believes that his uncontrollable behavior was caused by the severity of the police work.The expert emphasized that many police officers don't go to therapy or get help, so many of them, including Ahmed Twuamsi, may have had serious mental health problems. Mr. Kotin is of the opinion that he would not be able to comprehend why a man in his right mind would shoot and kill his girlfriend unless he had a mental breakdown.Talking on TV3, Mr. Kotin said, "This is a psychological well-being issue. "In the mean time, the suspect, Ahemd Twumasi, showed up in court today, where, in addition to other things, he said he killed his sweetheart for claiming him GHc5,000.On Tuesday, May 30, he is scheduled to appear once more.
