President Akufo-Addo has stated that his Ministers are continuously evaluated, and he would take action once he determines that they are not functioning up to par.
When he visited Kasoa as part of his tour of the Central Region, he was responding to requests for him to undertake a reshuffle in his government due to the current economic difficulty.
"I don't want to imply that I don't pay attention to what people are saying. In our democracy, public opinion is very important, but ultimately, I must decide whether or not some people should leave," he remarked. In response to widespread calls for Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta to resign or be fired, President Akufo-Addo stepped up to defend him. Citing the Finance Minister's prior achievements, he declared that he had every confidence in his ability to lead the nation out of its current economic difficulties.
People are currently asking for the resignation of the same finance minister who successfully led us out of the IMF program and contributed to the 7.5 percent growth rate we experienced prior to the COVID.

He also inspected the Agenda 111 project in Gomoa Afransi, which is in the Gomoa Central constituency, and launched a factory producing gas cylinders in Chochoe and a facility producing lubricants in the Gomoa East District at Fetteh. On Saturday morning, he will tour the Komenda Sugar mill and join the chiefs and residents of Cape Coast at the durbar to close out this year's Oguaa Fetu Afahye.
