Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, Ghana's Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), has offered a beautiful tribute to the British Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, who died last Thursday, according to Purefmonline.com. In his tribute, Ghana's current longest-serving MP characterized the Queen as having an aura of calm and tranquillity and leading an example leadership that engendered deference, which combined to hold the Commonwealth of Nations together. He noted that the Queen has left an indelible impression on the hearts and development of many countries, and that her departure, while tragic, marks the end of an era.
The Suame constituency lawmaker hoped that her successor, King Charles III, would continue to hold forth and keep the Commonwealth together via industry and tactical diplomacy in the same way as his mother had.

The Commonwealth is made up of 56 countries.
The Commonwealth is made up of 180 Parliaments.
Over 17,000 Parliamentarians make up the Commonwealth.
The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, which has been in existence for 110 years.
She arrived in Ghana in 1961 and left an unforgettable mark.

From Winston Churchill to Edward Heath, Margaret Thatcher, John Major, Tony Blair, David Cameron, Boris Johnson, and now Liz Truss, she presided over 15 Prime Ministers and 16 tenures.
