Kalybos, a comic actor, was devastated when Gyakie, a Ghanaian singer, rejected his marriage proposal. Kalybos recently admitted in a public interview that he gets smitten whenever he sees or hears the 24-year-old and that he would dearly love to begin a lovely realationship with her. Among other things, he said that if given the chance, he would marry Gyakie since his affections for her outweigh his 16 celebrity crushes in Ghana. Gyakie has stated that the rejection of his proposal was due to her belief that Kalybos was not being sincere in his claims. She defended him by saying, "I believed he was being jocular, I didn't know he was serious," in an interview with Sammykaymedia.
She claims they had spoken on several times, but their conversations were always about music, which is why she thinks his proposal is one of his gimmicks. Gyakie disclosed that if Kalybos showed sincerity, they would continue their conversation away from the cameras and decide what would happen to them.
