Due to their poor WASCCE grades, Krobea Asante Technical students attacked teachers and damaged school property.

 

The police have arrested over 40 kids from Krobea Asante Technical and Vocational School in Asante Asokore in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region. According to rumors, the children were detained after they damaged school property due to subpar test scores reported by their predecessors. Hon. Ebenezer Opoku, an assemblyman for the Effiduase South Electoral Area and the district's coordinator for Free SHS, told OTEC News' Jacob Agyenim Boateng that the terrible incident took place on January 22, 2023, a Sunday.

"Six cars in total have been destroyed by the pupils, including two teacher-owned private vehicles and four school-owned vehicles.

According to him, "properties worth millions of cedis have been damaged, including the senior house mistress's bungalow, her car, the school's notice board, stores, and food that was kept there.

"The principal's room had to be protected by security doors, but the dining hall was also affected by the turmoil. The assembly member said, "The majority of the things they destroyed are beyond repair, including the principal's automobile, which was provided by government. Dr. Annor Ankrah, the Ashanti Regional Education Director, and Mr. William Agyapong, the Sekyere East District Director of Education, visited the school to assess the situation, according to Mr. Opoku. He stated that the police had brought the school's situation under control.
