Important roads in the Volta region's Ho municipality are being repaired in preparation for the 66th Independence Day celebration. Patching potholes, cracks, and other flaws on major roads is being done throughout the municipality to guarantee that the roads are in good shape for the celebration. Many regions of town have participated in clean-up efforts to promote sanitation and an environmentally pleasant environment..
Work on the Sokode-Ho dual-carriage road is also moving steadily, according to Mr Divine Bosson, Ho Municipal Chief Executive, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency.
"Attention is being paid to major routes going to the Ho Municipality, particularly Sogakope-Ho. Patches and unlawful speed ramps are being removed, and the Atimpoku-Juapong-Asikuma road is being restored in preparation for the national event." He said that the Ho Teaching Hospital and Aerodrome are also receiving attention, and that both development projects would have been completed in the future but for the hosting of the Independence Day activities.The Chief Executive stated that the anniversary's local development component had reached a climax, with no available rooms in hotels in town and adjacent areas. Mr. Bosson stated that major and emerging musicians from the region would be highlighted in order to advertise the event to the world. Although this is the first time the celebration will be held in the region, there is also intense preparation among residents, institutions, and schools. Mr. Bosson stated that the 5,000-capacity youth resource center for the event is virtually finished, and stakeholders have assured him that everything will be ready for the parade.

According to Mr Michael Buabin, Regional Engineer of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), more than 2,000 streetlights are being installed and replaced to brighten up the municipality, and the (ECG) has assured us of uninterrupted power supply before, during, and after the celebration.
He mentioned that the new 5,000-capacity stadium, which would host the national match pass, had been outfitted with an upgraded 350 KVA transformer, and that the arena's floodlights will be installed soon.
