Prof Kwara Nantomah, a senior lecturer at the C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Science, has been the first Ghanaian to achieve full professorship in Pure Mathematics. The academic's new accomplishment also makes him the youngest Ghanaian to achieve full professorship in Mathematics. In a Facebook post seen by GhanaWeb, he expressed gratitude to his forerunners while dedicated his achievement to everyone who has ever taught him.
"Praise to God!" I was elevated to the position of Full Professor of Mathematics. According to my sources, this makes me Ghana's first full professor of pure mathematics and the country's youngest full professor of mathematics.
"If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants," Sir Isaac Newton once stated. I'd like to thank all the giants on whose shoulders I stood to accomplish this feat.
"It would not have been possible without you. May God richly bless you all. I dedicate this achievement to all my teachers (from Primary up to the University). Shalom!,” he wrote.

Prof. Kwara Nantomah received his BSc (Mathematics), MPhil (Mathematics), and PhD (Mathematics) degrees from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, respectively. He was an Associate Professor of Mathematics and Head of the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences at CKTUTAS before to his recent elevation. Mathematical Analysis is his area of expertise, with a specific emphasis on Mathematical Inequalities and their Applications, Special Functions, Convex Functions, Monotonic Functions, and Classical Analysis.He has around eighty (80) research articles in reputable international journals.
He also serves on the Editorial Board and as a Reviewer for various mathematics journals. He has also been an internal and external examiner for several MPhil and PhD theses. He also serves as a supervisor for BSc, PGD, MPhil, and PhD students. He is also a member of the Ghana Mathematics Society, the Ghana Science Association, the Nigerian Mathematical Society, the London Mathematical Society, the American Mathematical Society, the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, the European Mathematical Society, and the Korean Mathematical Society.
