In the Eastern region, two horrific accidents have resulted in the deaths of nine people.The Akuse Government Hospital is treating six more people, three men and two women, who sustained serious injuries.In the meantime, the body had been moved to the mortuary of the same hospital for an autopsy and preservation.On the Kpong-Tema highway, the accident occurred on Saturday in front of King David's College.

The Hyundai bus driver and a female passenger, both of whom were in critical condition, later passed away at the hospital.It was said that the articulated truck was carrying pavement blocks from Tema to Akosombo.Witnesses claim that the Hyundai driver tried to steer around a parked bus with registration number GW 6464-22 for nearly two weeks before colliding with the truck from the opposite direction of the road.
The rescue operation relied heavily on personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, the ambulance service, and the Akuse police command.In a related incident, a 60-year-old woman was crushed by a fast car driven by an ECG Engineer and killed at Nyamebekyere.
