For the second leg of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola, Alexander Djiku will not travel with the Black Stars team.In Kumasi's final ten minutes of the first leg, the Strasbourg defender was kicked out.Djiku will not be joining the team in Luanda on Monday because he was unable to recover from the injury. He is expected to immediately travel to France for early treatment.
In the meantime, the team has been without captain Andre Ayew, defender Mohammed Salisu, and right back Dennis Odoi of Club Brugge because of injuries.The Black Stars will depart Ghana on Saturday for the second leg in Luanda with the intention of early qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast next year.With seven points from three matches, the four-time African champions currently lead Group E of the qualifiers.
