A 27-year-old footballer was given a 12-year prison sentence by an Accra Circuit Court for sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl three times at Mamprobi in Accra.At the conclusion of the trial, the Court, which was presided over by Christina Cann, found Richard Mensah guilty of three counts of defilement.The indictment, drove by Boss Reviewer Simon Tekpor, said the complainant was a broker and the sister of the person in question.The convict's girlfriend traveled to Accra for a funeral on March 11, 2022, the Court heard.

Mensah's girlfriend went out after the food was prepared, and the victim agreed.Mensah allegedly had sex with the victim while his girlfriend was away, according to the prosecution.The prosecution claims that the complainant went to the Mensah home around 9 p.m. on the same day to look for the victim. The victim claimed that Mensah had sex with her when she was found in his room, according to the prosecution.
