Meet Erica Ntiamoah Mensah, Ghana's youngest female medical doctor.

Erica Maame Abena Pomaa Ntiamoah Mensah entered the medical profession at the age of 21, making her one of the youngest to do so. Doctor Erica Ntiamoah Mensah is the daughter of CPF Medical Unit founder Dr Eric Ntiamoah Mensah. She revealed in a 2021 interview with The Mirror that her father had a significant influence on her career choice.

"I developed an appreciation for the job and fell in love with it...

My father taught me to the enthusiasm of helping people with their health at a young age, and I would say it has been my greatest motivation for getting into medicine "She stated.

After finishing her junior high school education at Ridge Church School, Erica Ntiamoah Mensah enrolled at Achimota School and afterwards at the Accra College of Medicine. Eric who is thought to be the youngest medical doctor in Ghana characterized the experience as "satisfying".

"I'm grateful to God, my parents, and my grandmother's prayers for making this possible. When I received a note from the prominent paediatric surgeon, Professor Afua Hesse, congratulating me and welcoming me into the medical profession, it was both reassuring and fulfilling "She told The Mirror about it.


Dr Ntiamoah Mensah who is a proud daughter of the land has had the opportunity to meet Ghana's First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo and other high-profile personalities following her achievements.
