Friends and some former Black Stars players flocked to the
State House's forecourt to support Christian Atsu's family during this difficult time.Marie-Claire Rupio, Atsu's wife, broke down as she paid tribute to her husband, and former Black Stars players John Mensah and John Paintsil could be seen clearly crying as they passed the body of the deceased Black Stars player.Atsu's funeral was held at the State House's forecourt, where prominent figures like President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and former President John Dramani Mahama came to pay their last respects.In the midst of the grief and tears, the solemn funeral service included a display of traditional artifacts from the star's tribesmen.The following individuals also flocked to the burial grounds: Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Opare, Henry Quartey, Greater Accra Regional Minister, President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, Director General of the Ghana Prisons Service, Isaac Kofi Egyir, Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, and other executives include Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central.
