The Black Stars have arrived in Luanda for the second leg of their 2023 Afcon Group E qualifier against Angola.
The team, however, will be without captain Andre Ayew, who has been ruled out of Monday's match due to a knee injury. After the game, the 33-year-old striker stumbled on his way to the locker room, and further tests revealed the extent of his injury, forcing him to return to his club for treatment.Due to injuries, defenders Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, and Denis Odoi were also left out of the traveling party. Despite the absences, Antoine Semenyo's first-leg winner for Bournemouth has put Ghana on top of Group E with seven points after three games.
The team will be looking for another win in Angola in order to qualify for next year's tournament in Ivory Coast.
