In the early hours of March 17, 2034, his lifeless remains arrived at the funeral home. According to GhanaWeb's Joseph Nii Adamafio, who was on the scene reporting, members of the Ghana Armed Forces brought the body in for the deceased footballer's state-sponsored funeral. After setting up the casket, which was covered in Ghana's flag, the military left it so that mourners could pay their respects to the football player. Christian Atsu passed away unexpectedly when he was found in the ruins of his Hatay flat that had collapsed after an earthquake struck Turkey on February 6, 2023.
