After his fiancee visited him over the weekend, a 35-year-old man named Akwasi is accused of killing her. According to information that is becoming available, the 25-year-old seamstress was allegedly poisoned by the young man, a trotro driver. The woman, also known as Martha, visited her fiancé last Saturday at Atwima Agogo Copas in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipal of the Ashanti Region. She lives in Asuoyeboa in the Kwadaso Municipal of Akwasi. The trotro driver was also found in his room, apparently trying to commit suicide, foaming at the lips. He was taken to the hospital and is being treated there right now. The driver was reportedly depressed because his fiancee had threatened to break up with him and was not treating him well.
The driver called his friend to let him know Martha had visited him after they had a number of arguments, the report claims. The driver then gave Martha his phone and instructed her to call his friend. Martha let them know that she had to go home and wouldn't be staying the night. After that, the driver took her phone and informed her that she couldn't go home. When Martha's family arrived, they realized it was a lie and that their daughter had passed away; they had been told the house she visited had burned down. It's believed that Akwesi poisoned the beverage he offered Martha before consuming it himself.
