Abeiku Santana has come under fire from the Pizzaman-Chickenman company's marketer, Richie, for criticizing the CEO of the business over the arrest of some of his employees. After saying that it was improper for the CEO to order the arrest of his staff who had stolen from the business, Abeiku Santana received a lot of backlash. Abeiku remarked earlier that the CEO, Christian Boakye Yiadom, should stop claiming to be the youth leader he thinks he is in reference to the two employees who were each given a five-year prison sentence for stealing cartons of chicken wings and liters of cooking oil from their company.
"This Pizzaman presents himself to the public as a young leader, and so on. Your employees stole 20 cartons of chicken wings, and as a result, you got them each sentenced to five years in prison. What purpose does it serve? Why not remove it from their pay if a working-class person's child committed theft? They were therefore sentenced to five years in prison for each because of chicken wings, which they did not steal all at once. Clap for yourself; you did a good job. You certainly aren't a guy," he said. The company's marketer responded to the development by criticizing Abeiku's remarks in an interview with GHPage.
Richie said that Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, Abeiku Santana's employer, had previously detained several of his staff members for allegedly stealing GHC12 billion from one of his businesses, Best Point Savings and Loans, and sentenced them to 20 years in prison.
"Abeiku Santana is an employee of Despite. Owner of Best Point Savings and Loans is Despite. Some time ago, he employed some IT experts. They planned their theft of 12 billion from Despite's business and received 20 years in prison. He continued by saying it was improper for Abeiku to imply that the owner of Pizzaman was to blame for locking up the workers.
“It is the court that decides how long these people should be jailed. Maybe the CEO can plead the judge to reduce the sentence but he wasn’t the one who jailed them. The part I didn’t like was when he was badmouthing the company. Did he want to collapse it? This company has 40 branches that employ and feed a lot of people. Chris has sympathy, he was definitely going to do something about it.”
When asked if the workers' low wages made them more likely to steal, Richie responded: We provide them good salary. Everyone in this place is paid well. In this country, your wage rises the longer you remain. Christian has received an unreserved apologies from Abeiku Santana in the interim. The radio host claimed that, despite his best intentions, what he said "wasn't thought of carefully" and that he "does not support theft."
