It is with a heavy heart and an even heavier sigh that we turn our attention to the abysmal display of leadership that has been embodied by none other than Sir Gael, the self-proclaimed president of Ghartey Hall. To call him "incompetent" would be a gross understatement and it's more like
witnessing a masterclass in how not to run a hall.
From the very moment Sir Gael assumed the role of president, it was clear that he had embarked on a mission to redefine what it means to be ineffective. It's truly impressive how he manages to consistently make the wrong decisions at every turn, as if he's on a one-man crusade to lower the bar of expectations to subterranean depths. Residents of Ghartey Hall must surely be wondering if they stumbled upon a real-life comedy act rather than a leader with a modicum of capability.
The sheer audacity with which Sir Gael avoids responsibility is nothing short of astonishing. In
the face of mounting issues and concerns, he has perfected the art of disappearing faster than a magician's rabbit, only to reappear later with a practiced smile and empty promises. It's almost as if he believes that his mere presence should be enough to quell any dissent, conveniently forgetting that actions are what actually matters.
It's not just his lack of action that has left a sour taste in the mouths of Ghartey Hall's inhabitants, but also his astonishing lack of understanding when it comes to basic communication. His attempts at addressing the hall's concerns are so misguided and convoluted that one could write
an entire thesis deciphering his mumblings. It's as if he's speaking a language only he
understands, while the rest of us are left scratching our heads in bewilderment. We are calling on the president to give an explanation and answers to the following;
1. How do he refund the cloth monies to affiliates who paid the GH150.00 at the beginning of last semester?
2. He and his darling boy Man Selasie (Gael's proposed Hall presidential candidate) should
provide an account on the monies collected so far from the gym.
3.Why has his block B coordinator resign from office?
4. Why has he sold the GTF rooms on the last floor of Ghartey B to others without the consent of his executives, from all information those rooms are supposed to be for his appointees? Where are the monies?
5. Why was the police after him after the dinner and awards for which his vice president
intervened?
6. Why can't the president pay his RFUF (Residential User Facility User Fee) so as management can grant monies for the elections? When will the Ghartey Hall elections be held?
7. How can you do DSTV subscription of over GH 11,000 at the expense of elections?
All these questions are not mere questions but rather very delicate to the hearts of all affiliates.
After all these you still have no shame and respect to project another candidate (Man Selasie) to succeed and cover or clean your fiancial mess. And let's not forget his laughable attempts at event planning. If there were an award for the most underwhelming and poorly executed events,
Sir Gael would undoubtedly be the winner, a title he seems to covet with unparalleled zeal.
Whether it's a lackluster hall party or a half-hearted attempt at community engagement, Sir Gael's events are a testament to his complete lack of imagination and effort.
It's a rare sight to witness a leader so wholly disinterested in the well-being of those they're meant to serve but rather money centered. While other hall presidents are working tirelessly to address the concerns of their residents, Sir Gael seems content to live in his own little bubble of ineptitude. The term "hall president" should connote a figure of authority, respect, and responsibility, but in the case of Sir Gael, it's become synonymous with disappointment and eye-rolling exasperation.
In the grand tapestry of hall presidents, Sir Gael's legacy will undoubtedly be woven from the threads of incompetence and missed opportunities. His inability to grasp even the most basic principles of leadership is a disservice not only to himself but to every resident who had hoped for positive change under his "guidance". It's time for Ghartey Hall to cut its losses and seek out a president who actually possesses the qualities required to lead, a title that will forever elude Sir
Gael.
PLEASE DO NOT GO IN FOR HIS DARLING BOY WHO HE MADE AS SECURITY MAN OVER THE GYM BUILT BY AN EX PRESIDENT...
