The owners are now assessing their losses. On Saturday, May 13, 2023, when no one was inside the building, the occurrence took place. The firefighters stationed in Makola were required to put out the fire. Almost everything was destroyed by the fire, which is thought to have originated in the warehouse and traveled through the ceiling to other areas of the company.
Over 3,600 pieces of hair products were destroyed, Lucky Korbla, the plant manager, claimed in an interview with Joy News.
"On Thursday, we received a shipment of four sacks of frontal hair from Dubai. There were 900 pieces of frontal hair in each of the sacks. We were unable to choose even one because all four sacks were burned together with other goods. If you consider the scope of the loss, I can assure you that we are saddened, said Lucky Korbla. To determine the true cause of the incident, Mr. Korbla stated that they are awaiting an official report from the Ghana National incident Service.
"After putting out the fire, I enquired of the firefighters what had caused it. We are awaiting their report since they promised to make their findings public, Mr. Kobe said.
